Yamaha YPG 635 Should You Choose A Yamaha Keyboard For Your Forthcoming Purchase?

One of the greatest ways that technology has evolved over the past decade is that it has become much easier for people to listen to great music at any time. In the past, people had to sit in front of big radios and record players, but pretty soon, those radios became much more portable and then records were replaced with 8-track tapes, cassette tapes, and eventually CDs. More recently, however, portable music players that can store downloaded music on internal memory chips have been developed. The most popular portable music player has certainly been Apple's iPod, but many other companies have released great options as well, and these days, many people are even replacing their portable music players with smartphones that have the same capabilities. For example, many people prefer to simply own an iPhone and store their music on it instead of having a separate device solely for their music. No matter how you take your music with you, however, it's clear that the most important requirement for most people is that the device they choose is able to connect to wireless internet networks.

SAG Awards This Sunday: MTV News Has Got You Covered

Things are getting crazy in Movie Land. We'd barely caught our breath after the Golden Globe Awards when he had to jet off to Park City for the Sundance Film Festival. Now we're back, adjusting to the time difference, and making preparations for the Screen Actors Guild Awards on Sunday night. Don't cry for us [...]

In his breakout 2004 documentary "Super Size Me", filmmaker Morgan Spurlock attempted to show the world just how bad McDonald's is for you (particularly if you eat it all day, every day.) Now, Spurlock is going after all the big guns in his latest, "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold," an expose on the world of marketing, advertising and product placement.

Not so surprisingly, Spurlock couldn't get corporate sponsorship from many of the companies featured in the film (including his old friends at McDonald's.) Still, the ever-undeterred Spurlock sat down with MTV News at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival to talk about what it was like getting turned down by some big corporations and, despite all that, how he still managed to make a "docbuster."

Hilariously sporting an entirely corporate-sponsored jacket (Hyatt, JetBlue, and Pennsylvania's "greatest convenience store you'll ever stop in," Sheetz — which is providing collector cups for the movie's impending release — were game with Spurlock's vision), the director explained to MTV News that the three biggest sponsors of the project benefited from a commercial spot inserted within the movie itself. "It's the first time ever there's a film that has commercial breaks inside of it that, literally, are [woven] seamlessly into the movie."

But it seems one of the sponsors, POM Wonderful (which also appears on Spurlock's jacket) couldn't get on board with one of his ideas for their ad: to boast the fact that their product helps erectile dysfunction.

"We were pitching them commercials, one of which was talking about the fact that [POM] is 40% as effective as Viagra. So, in the film I'm talking about this stuff and I say that it will improve your erections. Then the camera pulls out a little more and there I am standing next to a giant erection and a POM bottle as I drink it," he says, adding, "They didn't like that idea."

Nevertheless, Spurlock and his crew still made the ad, about which he joked, "Luckily, I drank plenty of POM for that shoot"). He even toyed with the idea of putting it at the end of the movie, but ultimately had reservations about allowing that to be the last image he left in the mind of Sundance audiences. Yet when the initial pitch got a rousing reaction from the crowd at Saturday's screening, he thought, "Maybe we should have put that at the end of the movie!'"

If POM was a little hesitant, it was nothing compared to the responses he got from fast-food chains he tried to have in the "docbuster" (that's a documentary/blockbuster), including his old Big Mac-laden stomping grounds. "We tried," Spurlock said. "I called McDonald's, I called Burger King...not Subway, not even In-N-Out...White Castle...would be on board. But, no. Nobody wanted to play with us."

In fact, it wasn't just a simple "no" that Spurlock received from McDonald's; it was no response whatsoever. "They just didn't call back," he reveals. "The blow off was no returned phone call, ever."

Still, that wasn't even the harshest rejection Spurlock got while seeking sponsors. "The most memorable blow off, which is in the film, was Guess jeans. We were trying to find a clothing sponsor and [a Guess rep] said, 'No, no, no, no, we will never, ever put you on a billboard," he says with a laugh, "You know, it's like she was very clear that you are so not Guess jeans material."

Will you check out Morgan Spurlock's latest, "The Greatest Movie Ever Sold" when it hits theaters?

men dont listen to sexy news anchors

Are male readers actually reading any of this? Or are you just staring at the photo??? LOLz.

According to a new study, even though sexy female news anchors may boost ratings, males are less likely to retain much actual news from them, because they get distracted.

Indiana University scholars have found that “men’s cognitive mechanisms favored visual over verbal processing.”

Ha! That's ONE way of saying "men get distracted by sexy women."

Studies were done with female anchors dressed in a desexualized manner, as well as a sexualized manner, and researchers found that men remembered “significantly more information watching the unsexualized anchor deliver news than her sexualized version.”

Some Information on Cinema Consultants

In the USA, the legal drinking age is 21 years of age. This is higher than most other Western countries, however the fact that the minimum age is 21, means that their will be a lower level of alcohol abuse by irresponsible teens. This legality prevents young people from going out to a bar or club, you have to wait till you are 21 years old, otherwise they will not let you inside. Therefore many people anticipate their 21st birthday, as this will be their first opportunity to go dancing and have fun with their friends as adults. An occasion that requires shopping for dresses and clubwear, makeup, and perfume.

Arts and Entertainment from EzineArticles.com

When I was born, salt-water waves lapped against glacial clay banks and the great, glacial stones of the Pacific coast, the rocking of the world in the cradle of the Sea. The shouts of seagulls mingled with the rude clang of foghorns and the forlorn keening of ships' bells in those gray realms between the physical and the fluidic, where dream and landscape are knitted together with calm, insistent voice.

Let’s forget for a second that Glee creator Ryan Murphy embarrassed himself publicly by lookin’ like a spoiled brat crybaby when he issued an outrageous F*ck You! to the Kings of Leon merely because they wouldn’t let him use one of their songs on his TV show and focus on the fact that Glee will [...]

Ricky Martin was spotted making his way out of a rehearsal studio in Miami, FL yesterday where he was auditioning new dancers for his upcoming concert tour. As you can see in the photos below, Ricky was sporting a sassy new look complete with designer eye-wear and a stylish scarf to protect him from the harsh inclement weather of Miami. Ricky was also sporting a new hair’do that, to me, just screams hair’DON’T!

Look … the glasses and scarf I can forgive, I mean, it’s a look that the Hipsters have been pushing for the past few years. The tacky dye job, tho, is unforgivable. What the Hell was Ricky thinking? The cheetah hair’do never looks good on anyone … I can’t even believe the man is trying to rock blonde streaks in public! LOL! I hope this is just a phase cuz I don’t think I can take the man seriously if this is the image he is trying to portray. World. Of. No.

Yay!! David made it home safe and sound from his trip to Florida. After spending a few days with his mom, dad and sister in celebration of mother Hauslaib’s birthday, David returned home to SoCal last night.

While I’ve been enjoying my alonetime, it is very nice to have David home again. I managed to get my voice back and my throat is no longer sore … mebbe I was just feeling the ill effects from David’s absence? Whatever the case may be, I’m feelin’ great today.

Tonight, David and I are planning to trek down to Manhattan Beach to hang out with Emma so that we can finally meet her sister visiting from San Francisco. Should be fun. Happy Thursday!!

Throw Sick Parties With Beat Software

When making beats with beat software the most important aspect of you beat is going to be the drums. That bass line is what makes or breaks a beat! What you should do in the beginning is spend time listening to some of your favorite urban artists like Eminem, Tupac, Kommon, Kanye West, 50 Cent, etc. Listen to their styles. One doesn't typically equate fan boys and horror buffs with the Sundance crowd (heck, they've got Comic Con, after all). But when Rutger Hauer is in town, it's a different story.

The 67-year-old Dutch actor, perhaps best known for his roles in films like "Blade Runner" and the original version of "The Hitcher," came to Park City, Utah to screen his latest venture, an over-the-top gore fest called "Hobo With a Shotgun," much to the delight of movie fans with particularly off-kilter taste.

Hauer sat down with MTV News to discuss all the slaughter in the flick about a town gone very awry. "This is not that serious," Hauer said of the film's grindhouse-style violence. While he acknowledges the film's violence walks "a fine line," he argues that in the shock-value horror genre, "The buttons have already been pushed."

"It's a different story," he says of the film, adding, "It's not about limbs flying and how creatively you try and kill somebody."

In true camp-movie fashion, "Hobo" was screened at midnight last week to a raucous crowd that ate up every kill and cheesy line of dialogue. Even Hauer, who plays the film's vigilante — and the armed homeless dude of the title — couldn't help but get caught up in the madness of the event. He was having a blast, and was spotted filming the pre-screening hubbub with his own camera.

After the premiere, the star took questions from the audience, and as Hauer revealed to MTV, one theatergoer had a particularly stand-out query. "One kid asked me, 'I've always wanted to kill somebody, is a shotgun the right way to do it'?", to which Hauer initially responded, "Huh?!"

Then, in the true splatter-flick spirit, Hauer suggested, "Scissor hands. Why do it so quickly? Do it slowly, you know?"

Apparently, TayTay just dumped Lily because he "wants to be single for a while."

So basically, he remembered how hot he is and he wants to take full advantage of it, right?

A source close to the film reports:

It was a clean break that Taylor initiated, [but] at the Abduction party, it was awkward. They barely said a word to one another.

How To Choose The Best Beginner Electric Guitar For Yourself

Punk music or hardcore punk or simply hardcore are all aliases of the same genre of music that is said to have literally rocked the musical scenario everywhere in the word. Considered to be a lot heavier than the punk rock, this music genre was in the early 1980s in the United States of America and United Kingdom. Traditional hardcore has never met with as much commercial success as the fusion and sub genres of this style of music.

Victoria Beckham is ALWAYS the perfect picture of restraint and control but over the weekend at an LA Galaxy soccer match at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, her poshness lost her cool for a split second when her children — Brooklyn Joseph, Romeo James, Cruz David and BFF Ken Paves — forced her [...]

After our fun-filled day by the beach, Darion, his mom, David and I made our way to the AMC Theater at Century City to see Source Code. Now, I’ve had mixed feelings about the film from the very first time I saw the trailer a few months ago. On the one hand, the trailer didn’t make the film look all that good … on other hand, well, Jake Gyllenhaal is in it so …. you can see how I was torn. When I learned that Duncan Jones (David Bowie‘s son) directed it, I was sold. Overall, I liked Source Code very much … tho, for me, the ending left much to be desired.

I’ve heard some people say that Source Code reminds them of Inception and while I can see how some people can make that connection, I totally do not think the movies are all that similar. The storylines are totally different and there really isn’t all that much overlap thematically. In Source Code, we are are taken on a journey that tries to make us understand the concept of alternate realities and for the most part, I was on board with what the movie was trying to say … but the ending, I’m sorry, no I just didn’t buy it. I’ve watched my fair share of sci-fi programming that has given me a “working knowledge” of time travel, alternate realities, other dimensions etc. (and by “working knowledge” I mean, I’ve come to believe in a set of fictional rules that seem feasible to me if time travel, alternate realities, etc. actually existed). The ending of Source Code just did not work for me in the framework of my “working knowledge” of sci-fi temporal travel so … yeah, no, I didn’t like the ending. The rest of the movie, tho, I thought was inventive and entertaining. As much as I love Jakey poo, I felt he overacted a bit in some scenes but not enough to turn me off entirely. The support cast was fine but they were like background wallpaper … none of them really added anything to the story that stood out for me. I wish Source Code wasn’t a PG-13 film because the action felt a bit watered down. But, again, the inventiveness of the story, the twists and turns and overall plotline really entertained me. I don’t expect this film will do gangbusters at the box office but it’s worth seeing. If you miss it in theaters, you’ll be just fine seeing it on DVD or on cable.

Did any of y’all see Source Code this weekend? What did you think?

Jagged Edge Mixtapes, Albums, and Singles

I bought my first starter acoustic guitar when I was thirteen years old after four years of playing; it cost me an arm and a leg, but it was a real beauty. It had great action, narrow neck, steel strings, deep tone and it was a pleasure to play. I was lucky, my Dad, a jazz guitarist, helped me choose my first guitar. Following are three simple criteria to help you choose your first acoustic guitar.
